In 2017 to celebrate the Queens Sapphire Jubilee, the Royal Mint released a very special Limited Issue Struck on the Day Queens Sapphire Jubilee Celebration Gold Full Sovereign Coin struck in solid 22 Carat Gold and struck on the Queens Sapphire Jubilee 6th February 2017.

The reverse design features Pistrucci's St George Slaying the Dragon while the obverse depicts the stunning Fifth Portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark.
The coin will be presented with a Certificate of Authenticity hand signed by the Head of Production, attesting to its provenance and the exact day of its striking.
