For 2017, the Royal Mint released it's yearly Limited Issue Britannia Premium Gold Proof 6 Coin Set struck in solid fine 999.9 Gold.

The collection includes the £100 Gold Proof Coin weighing one ounce of pure Gold, the £50 Gold Proof Coin weighing one half ounce of pure gold, the £25 Gold Proof Coin weighing one quarter of an ounce of pure Gold, the £10 Gold Proof Coin weighing one tenth of an ounce of pure Gold, £1 Gold Proof Coin weighing one twentieth of an ounce of pure Gold and the 50p Gold Proof Coin weighing one fortieth of an ounce of pure gold.

The portrait designed by Louis Tamlyn depicts a contemporary reverse design, reflecting a time of political change when the eyes of the world have often been on Britain
His design also contains the Trident Mint Mark that celebrates this anniversary.
The obverse design features Jody Clark's Fifth Portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
