In 2021 - 2017, celebrating British Monarchs and their Heraldry, the Royal Mint released a Limited Issue Queen's Beasts £25 Twenty Five Pound Gold Proof 10 Coin Set struck in solid fine 999.9 Gold, each weighing one-quarter of an ounce of pure Gold Certified Slabbed and Graded by PCGS as PR70 DCAM/PR70 DCAM First Strike.
The reverse of each coin in a series of 10 features a stylised image of the Queen's Beasts, starting with the Lion of England and ending with the Griffin of Edward III, while the obverse of each coin features the Fifth Portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark. These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
