In 2014-S, the United States Mint released a Limited Issue Liberty Eagle $1 One Dollar Silver Coin struck in solid .999 Silver weighing one ounce of fine pure Silver and Certified Slabbed and Graded by PCGS as MS69 First Strike.
The obverse is a rendition of Adolph A Weinman's magnificent Walking Liberty design originally prepared and executed for the nation's first circulating half-dollar coin in 1916.
The reverse, designed by John M Mercanti, portrays a heraldic eagle with a shield. The eagle has arrows in the right talon and an olive branch in the left.
