In 1991 to celebrate Jersey's Shipbuilding Industry, the Royal Mint released a Limited Issue Percy Douglas £1 One Pound Silver Proof Coin struck in solid .925 Sterling Silver to commemorate the Percy Douglas Ship.

The reverse of this magnificent coin has been designed and modelled by Royal Mint engraver Robert Evans and portrays the Percy Douglas in full sail.
The obverse bears Arnold Machin's elegant portrait of Her Majety Queen Elizabeth II.
