Payment Policy

Payment terms
The London Coin Company Ltd expects to receive payment for any order placed as outlined below unless prior agreement is obtained. We reserve the right to cancel any order not paid for within this timescale.

Payment options for UK and International  Customers
World Pay and Stripe Debit & Credit Cards    
We accept Debit and Credit Cards and use WorldPay and Stripe two of the leading Secure Payment Services in the world.
Debit Cards and Credit Cards up to a maximum of £5,000 Additional identification for security may be required for orders over £2,500 and only available to customers who are 3D Secure
Orders over £5,000 must be paid by Bank Transfer.

Paypal
We accept payment by Paypal from Confirmed and Verified Users up to a maximum of £2,500 - Additional identification for security may be required.
If Paypal is used as a form of payment and an order wants to be cancelled, if a refund is chosen instead of an exchange, any fees which are incurred by Paypal which are kept by Paypal refunds will be minus their fees.

Bank Transfer
When placing your order, choose the Bank Transfer option upon which our details will be shown on the invoice you receive otherwise please contact us and we can supply the information on request, Payment from UK Customers should be received within 3 Days of Invoice and for International Customers 5 Days from invoice and sent from the bank account of the person ordering.

UK Personal & Business Cheques
Requires 5 working days for clearance from the time of the Cheque being banked and sometimes slightly longer depending on size of the order for security maximum order amount of £250.

UK Postal order 
Maximum order amount of £100

Cash
Cash on Collection for orders of £2,500 upwards, Cash sent by Special Delivery / International Signed for or Courier in Pound Sterling, Euros or US Dollars to prove we have received it.

Specific Terms for Payments:
1. Please note: Paypal payments will only be accepted from Confirmed & Verified Paypal users unless by prior arrangement, or unless you have a client history with us. If in doubt please feel free to call us before placing your order.
2. To comply with money laundering regulations, orders may require further evidence of identification, especially on Gold sales.
3. We reserve the right to decline any order where payment is to be made via Paypal, Credit or Debit Card, Bank Transfer if we are not satisfied as to the validity of the transaction.
4. Should a payment be declined, we will require payment for that order via an alternative method eg. Bank Transfer. We will not accept a different Paypal account as an alternative method, should the first be declined, unless you have a client history with us.

Fraud Prevention and ID Requirements:
In certain circumstances, customers will be required to provide certified proof of Identity to satisfy the anti money laundering and fraud legislation that governs our industry. In certain circumstance we may ask for this information to satisfy our internal security checks in order to provide safe delivery of your product. Where we request proof of address, we are unable to accept a mobile phone bill.
For orders over £5,000 or for cumulative orders of over £10,000 in any one year we require a certified copy of the purchaser's photographic ID, and a copy of a recent utility bill (this is required irrespective of method of payment).
We may use your personal information to conduct anti-fraud checks. Information which you supply may be given to credit reference or fraud prevention agencies. All personal information provided will be treated in accordance with the Data Protection Act of 2018.
We will support efforts and contribute to the effective elimination of money laundering where we identify a reasonable risk of money laundering resulting from, or connected to, the trade, handling, transport or export of precious metals.’
